Back in October, the Freedom Charity<\/a> drew our attention to a great online safeguarding resource, a blog titled, \u2018The Empowering Internet Safety Guide for Women\u2019. We initially shared the link for the guide on our Twitter and Facebook feeds, but feel that it is deserves an additional mention on our website. The guide appears as a blog on vpnMentor.com, a virtual private network site. This very practical guide was written by women for women, and with \u201cthe intention <\/em>of empowering women to navigate the internet without fear\u201d.<\/em> However, it will also be relevant to men who have an online presence.<\/p>\n

Originating from the US, some of the latter sections are less relevant to us in the UK, but the online guidance and other sections on harassment, make an interesting and valuable read. It provides practical safeguarding tips which are easy to follow. We found it to be the best guide of its kind, that we are currently aware of. Topics covered include:<\/p>\n
