Fake text messages have been circulating claiming that Asda or Morrisons have dropped off a shopping delivery, with a link directing victims to a dodgy website. If anyone clicks the link, their financial details are downloaded and could be used by scammers to make purchases from their bank account.

Another similar message refers to an order from Morrisons. Scammers use the links to get hold of personal details from the customer and puts finances at risk.

The Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) said it received evidence of this latest text scam involving supermarket delivery messages.
